3D Laser Scanning
A three-dimensional laser scan collects millions of observation points in seconds. This 'point cloud' is rendered into an image that can be used in plant additions, renovations, and equipment exchange as well as historical preservation and accident scene investigations. Plant Scanning Services
Laser scans can be used for designing building additions, retrofitting existing piping systems, and creating simulations for extracting large objects (heat exchangers, holding tanks, etc.) from an operational plant.
Our laser scan packages include a preliminary survey scan and the path needed to bring in the new components. Our scans have also been used to create operation schedules to minimize operational disruptions during equipment retrofits.
Historical Building Preservation
The ability to capture data in a non-invasive manner is instrumental when working with historical buildings. Laser scanning seamlessly gathers detailed information without damaging any of the facade, structural components or paint textures.
Accident Scene Investigation
Laser scanning captures precise data without disturbing evidence and preserves the comprehensive visual information for later study.
